The picture was taken in Cork, on Patrick Street, the Smiths stores is now the Gentleman's Quarters. The BR office was burned down after Bloody Sunday.
Seems like woke idiots existed in the early 70s too. Burn down a business because it had "British" in the title. Also im confused why British Rail had a store in Cork? Did they own CIE at the time or something?

More like SF/IRA Scum.

Back then sea travel to the UK would have been for the masses as the cost of air fares were beyond most.
If memory serves me correctly British Rail and Sealink were part of the same organisation, so that was like a travel agents business.
No they did not own CIE at the time, they did work closely with them though for transporting people by train on the Ireland side and for the CIE " Supabus " service that served the UK back in the day.
