You think, the corner was taken 90 secs after the seven minutes, if they scored it would have stood. They didn't, it was cleared, Madrid won it back and he blew up before it was crossed. How long should he wait? Till after the next chance if that cross was cleared

The amount of added time is misleading because Valencia were given a pen that was revoked during the early stages of that added time which took approx 3 mins. So therefore the ref was always going to go beyond the added time given before that incident and basically nobody would have batted an eyelid over when he blew the final whistle as everyone knew it was going to be more than the time initially given.

I think it would help everyone if the ref can only blow the final whistle when the ball goes dead, once the added time has elapsed. A bit like rugby. It would be a lot less controversial then.
