A couple of points worth noting, this is an O'Callaghan Properties development, of Mahon Point/Event Centre fame, so bulling ahead without regard to potential traffic chaos is not unknown to them.

If this was 20 years ago, would there have been any cheques ( ) and balances ?

Also worth nothing O Callaghan properties have nothing to do with developing Marino Point, it's Gouldings, Bert Allen and the Port of Cork.
