Great race. Thankful that Zhou was ok, the halo saved him for sure. Delighted for Sainz to get his first win. Leclerc is right to be annoyed at Ferrari as Sainz was favoured throughout that race. Good for Schumacher to get his first points. Lastly, wtf were the Alpha Tauri drivers doing.

Seen some people say that the halo, while obviously saving him from massive injury or worse, could be part of the reason the car didn't roll back upright and stayed upside down for the entire slide.

At that speed if it became upright once, would it just not have continue to flip over?

Could well do. Would imagine the flipping would slow it down some bit, but the physics at play here are well beyond my comprehension tbh.

Very likely, especially if it caught the front edge of the gravel trap. If that happened the pendulum effect might well have seen the car flip over the catch fencing or catch the very top of it. In that scenario the outcomes don't bear thinking about ...
