It wasn’t Bertie and I did win. When the final whistle went I screamed in his face and he fucked off as fast as he could. Another Dub sitting next to me shook my hand and told me not to mind the other clown and that nobody should have to put up with the abuse I got. I had the last laugh.

Was only reminiscing the other day about a double header in the first round of the hurling championship back in ‘04, Cloyne-Glen and Killeagh-Blackrock, down in Midleton, was soaking it in with a bag of chips and no skin in the game, don’t get too many days like that anymore.

20 years tomorrow those games were held.
