Malaga

we can get flights to Malaga at end of october - teenager daughter and mother - is anyone familiar with the area so that they could make suggestions as to where would be nice to stay, i.e. malaga itself or one of the other towns. daughter just wants sunshine (which is not guaranteed) - nice beaches etc. any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks

Nerja to the east is a great spot. we got a brilliant apt up the back of the town for 250e last oct. youll need to rent a car. we got one at the airport for 120e for the week plus fuel.

I live in Málaga and it's a great city. If you don't speak any Spanish I'd recommend Torremolinos or Benalmadena to stay which are only 20mins-30mins away by train.
Good prices in city centre hotels at the moment and great fish reataurants in the city. Prices are reasonable, especially mid-week.
P.M. me if you are coming over ok!

I have few days each in Granada and then Malaga coming up. Not interested in Torremolinos or Benalmádena - I'll stick to the city.

Give me the cultural and culinary highlights of your adopted home please.

I already have tickets for the Alhambra in Granada.

I'm game ball for bars, tapas, museums, shops, coffee spots. I don't go in for Irish/English bars and egg n' chips por favor carry on.

My Spanish isn't great - but I know enough to make sure I show respect - so I'm happy with where the locals go.

Talk to me, hermano.
