Great news that the 17 year old who stabbed the Chinese woman was tried as an adult in a landmark case and got life. He was only 14 when he stabbed her to death. She was just walking home after work.

Eligible for parole doesn't mean he will get parole. In fact, it almost never means the prisoners will get parole. Its just the start of the process.
