John O'Shea Republic of Ireland Football Manager

Can't understand how people are critical of the FAI for Carsley turning down the job. That's on him. And why would he take it anyway? He's on an upward trajectory within the FA, he'll bide his time for a bigger job. Lennon, Barry etc is the calibre the FAI can attract now. As an outside punt perhaps Kieran McKenna wouldn't be a bad shout?

McKenna wouldn’t go near the Ireland job.

Chris Coleman is a very likeable fella and seems to take no shit. I'd have him as my first choice now.

No way will McKenna leave Ipswich when a second consecutive promotion is on the table, although the wheels have fallen off a bit recently

OTB, very interesting tonight, lads from BBC Wales and 42.ie podcast.
The FAI remit states " a head coach with a clear footballing philosophy and will interact with the underage teams" according to Marc Canham (DOF).
Seemingly the FAI were 30 mins late for one interview and changed the venue at short notice for another, some things never change.
Also one of the names mentioned got 2 interviews and was told no yesterday was Anthony Hudson (who) Interim coach of the USA national team after 2022 WC
