Jesus lads, 'tis looking like BREXIT!

It is always someone else's fault anyway for not getting to Brexit nirvana and if Boris is being teed up to take all the blame then they are for once being correct as this is why they all backed him in the first place as their blubber prince piñata to deliver all the unicorns to the sunlit uplands.

Any "heritage" as an "independent trading nation" stopped being relevant about 110 years ago and the trajectory is backwards to the year 1973.

They are against the standardisation of phone and device chargers that the E.U. are bringing in in 2024.

Like manufacturers will even listen to the U.K. in the first place.
I'd argue that it hasn't been an independent trading nation since 1497, and even then, had become an independent trading nation 5 years before with the peace of etaples...

Yes, they have taken back control. They are going to ban the new rule that EU are brining out for the universal phone charger. It's all about choice and especially not conforming to any ideas that EU may have. It's choice and not convenience #progress

They have the right to have non-universal phone chargers.

Incidentally that sketch would presumably go very differently if shot nowadays...

The U.K. signed a binding international agreement and they cannot turn off those obligations just by changing domestic law.

Their own Tory M.P.'s are already lining up to vote it down as the Governments legal advice is just twaddle. See below from the malcontents

UK GDP fell by 0.3% in April 2022, after a decline of 0.1% in March 2022. Much worse than expected. The economy already contracting quite significantly.

Good luck with your trade war Boris.
