I saw him at at match in Fermoy a few years ago and he was chatting with Donal O’Grady and a few others. I’d have felt like a right tit to ask him for a photo there like.

It wasn't performative tough man stuff in fairness, just a subtle insight into his more ruthless side.

I'm paraphrasing, but basically it was along the lines of if you're unable to deal with defeat then you're not good enough to win.

He also spoke well about regretting certain decisions on dropping players from panels, and being on the sideline towards the end of an AI final wishing he had X player to bring in.
