james mclean

Firstly, the Irish aren't a race. Secondly, as it happens, as a fella (James) from Derry, I totally agree with the stance he takes on the poppy.

However, on the other hand, his attention whoring on social media with the balaclava wearing and other wind up stuff he's done, either he loves the grief/attention or he simply can give it but can't take it imho.

Unlike your man MOE, who is much more of a taker than a giver, allegedly.

Black isn't a race either GM. Are you seriously trying to suggest people who discriminate against, or shout abuse at, black people because of their skin colour aren't being racist????????????????

He is moron, if you are going to taunt opposing fans, what do you expect, flowers thrown at your feet. Does he think football supporters play by some sort of rules, code of etiquette? He is a disgrace for what he brought on himself and his family, just for likes of his Derry m8s, how come no other Irish players seems to have the same constant issues as him? How come Matic never got issues for not wearing the poppy?
Neanderthal supporters will always target those that will give them a reaction and he constantly obliges. Instead of rising above it, he just stoops to their level.

Looks like victim blaming is another of Earl's attributes.

Most other Irish players wear a poppy on their jersey preferring to appease the poppy-fascists than run foul of them. McLean has stood up to it because he was born and bred in a city where people out campaigning for Civil Rights were murdered by the british army and it took nearly 50 years of whitewash after whitewash before the british finally accepted their soldiers did murder completely innocent people. And those poppies are used to raise money for those self same british soldiers. Soldier F and all his colleagues get seen after by those charities.

*yawn*
What has goading opposition fans got to do with wearing the poppy?
But seeing as you brought it up, why didn’t Matic get abuse for not wearing the poppy?
Simples, because he didn’t make a big deal of it and got on with playing football.
McClean is a social media buffoon and brings the abuse to his own door.
