Exactly.
You'd be as well trying to curb a Corkman's interest in sport
Spot on.
Anyone who tries to stop me drinking pints and watching the GAA will be getting a hurl across the back of their head.

Have a word with yourself
If we banned alcohol we wouldnt have to go to a GP for Valium and xanex as the streets would be full of them.Nah, lets wait until xmas for the supposed second wave and ban it then.
STOCK UP NOW M8s.
The last thing the country needs is half of it going into withdrawls clogging up GPs looking for sleepers/valium. And this is not counting those who will require socially distanced group therapy sessions as well.
Twill all end in tears lads, mark my words.
I'm having a pint now, while RoxY cries into his glass of water.
Seriously, most of the problems with people not obeying the covid-19 regulations are alcohol related, be it in pubs which are flouting the rules or people having house parties where people are turning their front rooms into pubs.
A blanket ban on all sales of alcohol would put manners on this lot, just until the pandemic is under control.
Such a measure would also take pressure off our hospital A&Es because so many people who end up there do so because of alcohol related mishaps and or violence.

Yeah.Any self respecting raging alcoholic or wino in waiting wouldnt be seen dead walking or dealing with the bums. These people have reputations to consider. Their alcoholism is waaaaay different to the bums we see on the streets. For them they are much more of a refined class of addict, they wear good clothes, they have money, they drive shiny cars, they are above the other alcoholics you see, lol. So these types would definitely go to GP surgerys all over the country within one week.
Alcohol withdrawl is horrible and shouldnt be shrugged off. 8 out of 10 addicts preferred Librium in the early weeks of cold turkey fwiw.
Denial is a magnificent beast to watch in full flow lol.
