Insurance question

I am part of a residents group in the process of getting a contractor to cut green areas in our estate
One neighbour has told us we will need public liability insurance and also employers insurance, I have left a message for the contractor to clarify
Would i be right in thinking his policy would cover this?

Will the contractor take away the cut grass? And make sure he doesn't start at 9am on a Sunday morning ;-)

I'd be almost certain the council provided my son in law and neighbours with a lawnmower for the upkeep of their estate.
They maintain the area themselves.
Might be worth looking into.....

Public liability and employee insurance go pretty much hand in hand so they wont have one without the other.
