I cut out the greeting altogether and get straight to the body of the email.
I didn't get where I am today, a leading member of the Cork business community, by saying hey, hi or even hello in my emails.
Depends on how formal the email is.
If I was sending an email to a co worker I would use Hey, but not to a client.
I always do an informal Hi, quicker to type than Hey.
Back in the day the retort to someone saying "Hey!" to you was "They give that to horses don't they"
Yourself and Lee were meant to be together

Or what about the ‘best’ crewYou know someone means business when the exchange switches from 'Kind regard' to 'Regards'.
I always thought it was the opposite way around. "Regards" being the, "Ah, shur, we know each other. Just spit out a regards." While "Kind regards," was the, "This fella is a complete prick so I'm gonna be extra fucking polite to shove him back in his box, the little gurrier."You know someone means business when the exchange switches from 'Kind regards' to 'Regards'.

So I've been winding people up for years with getting this wrong, maybe.
