Heinze continues road back to first team.

United won the Reserve Senior Cup tonight in a 3-2 win over Oldham Athletic with goals from Rossi and two from Campbell who is doing savage at the moment.

but the game was more interesting cos of Heinze, who was absolutely flying into tackles allover the shop!!! some of them u were cringing at, between lunges and airborne assaults. but if anything, it showed he is well on his way along the road of recovery. came off with 9mins to go with what seemed like a tweak in his groin but didnt seem too serious...
he could be a late addition to the chelsea match yet, depending on the status of that groin tweak. he was flying today like...

They should roll him out for it anyway, just to snap Frank Lampard in two for a laugh before the World Cup.

the way he was tackling tonight, he would.

he went into one challenge earlier, now he was about 20 yards away from the ball... but he stormed after it. he was 80/20 against to actually get there so he went airborne (again) and travelled about 10 feet in the air and came in hard with the oldham player and blocked the shot from outside the box. now to be honest it was an awful foul cos it was as two-footed as you can get - it was beyond two-footed literally!! but he gets back up, looks at the ref, explains he was always gonna get the ball, and walks off.

now if the ref had any balls he would've given oldham the free, but he was fairly intimidated when gabby got up and turned to him. he was gonna approach him but decided to talk to him from a distance and left it at that...

very funny to watch, but was a clear indication he's good to come back.

he's such a legend ha ha...

Remember that time Neil Ruddock broke both Andy Cole's leg in the same tackle in a reserve game? Oh the memories.

Heinze is a brave player who as often as not looks like he's about to come out of a tackle injured himself as opposed to the other player.

Ruddock was just a shite, thug now doing Karaoke on the telly.
