No. But all data won't be stored indiscriminately for 2 years as was the case previously.
I guess they will keep some data for a short time e.g. a month to facilitate billing etc. but then they have to delete it.
Phone companies i.e. providers can be ordered to store and provide data on a specific individual or group by the authorities, and in this case it can be kept longer.
