It’s part of the job description be to be physically fit. The only issue with this test is the different standards for male and female. Crime doesn’t slow down for gender, the standards should be equal.

It may work for fitness but it generally wouldn't work for physical strength. Realistic standards for both sexes is what is required (until we have Trans/ Transitioning Gurds that is).

The lack of respect for Gardai has never been lower.

They need tasers, bodycams and far far tougher sentencing for assaulting a garda.

There's lot of issues with and around the force unfortunately.
