I have no idea. I’d imagine it will be somewhere on the pedestrian part though and not in the middle of the street like Fr. Mathew.
He deserves to be honoured in this way in my view. It’s 100 years since the civil war, time to move on.

I agree there should be Collins monument in Cork, but honestly there is no space in there. On one end Fr. Mathew, then Echo boy, then Grand Parade and fountain and chapel (National Monument) to close with WW1 monument and Hiroshima plaque/stone, which should be done better than dog's shitter by the Electric... There is literally no space.
Putting the monument there would make its significance less significant... Removing other monument to make a space for Collins is out of question too..
