Fitzgibbon Cup

No idea Timber, but I didn't know Dooley was on either till last week. I didn't see a definitive training list, it seems walk up auditions :)[/QUOTE]
In fairness to Meyler if the lad is good enough he will get his chance. I think Meyler is willing to give everyone a chance.

There was a player called Collins from Erins Own on panel at one stage last yr.To be fair he is looking at players so hopefully a "few mushrooms"spring up.
An observation thoughbis Myler has taken two promising Cork underage forwards and played them in half back line reminds me of Ger Fitz doing same as minor manager with Paudie O 'Sullivan and a Kilworth player who played with St.Colmans.That experiment didn't work

I am open to correction but I think he was brought in after getting 4 goals in a league match for EO.

Who Downey, TOM? Not sure about TOM, but Downey is a better half back.

As i said just an observation.I was aware that Downey played centre back on glen underage teams.
Hopefully he plays well.Great photo of him.in de Paper last yr catching a ball over his head with hurley up protecting his hand.A lot of players don't do that.
Another skill rarely seen with Cork is batting the dropping sliotar clear.Chris O'Leary did that today .

Thought Niall O’Leary & gunning were excellent at the back.

Brilliant facility in wit ,my first time there. Very well organised, plenty parking etc.
Very enjoyable day
