He's doing well fair play to him.

At 34 now he's probably not going to get another international cap but would be nice to see him carry on in the PL for another few seasons.

Memorably turned out for the Teachers as a ringer in the annual* Teachers v. Students soccer match at the Cross, soon after he had left school to go to England. He scored about 4 goals, if I remember right. He was booed, like, but there was admiration in the boos!

* I say 'annual' - it only happened about twice while I was at the school, and I've no idea if it's still played.

Played gaa for St michaels til minor. His old man finbar was corner forward for blackrock. Played for Avondale schoolboys then went to Leicester from cork city

He was in my class in school. A really nice guy, I´m glad to be seeing him do well considering he nearly retired a few years back due to injury, he´s really turned things around.
