Cork u20 Hurling 2024

People will blame the ref and umpires but in reality Cork took very poor decisions all game. These things happen in a split second and umpires just obviously missed it. Human error at end of day, if any of us here were doing umpire we might miss it too.

This team never really fired this year given the potential they have.

But they're only young lads so wouldn't go too hard on them. Plenty players in that team with the potential to hopefully step up to senior level.

Cork did enough to win the game. Can’t be expected to beat Tipp and the officials. Wides or no wides.

Hopeful we will get a few of these players into the senior team in the next few years. I’d like to see Buckley make it, he’s a nod back to the smaller players Cork had in the past such as Deane and the O’Connors.

Very hard loss to take tbf. I know we can go on about an extremely poor refereeing, decision and general officiating. But 16 wides just won’t cut the mustard. Poor display mixed with moments of magic. in my opinion, a few players can hold her head high, such as the goalie Paudie O’Sullivan, Cillian Tobin Hugh O’Connor Duds And Barry Walsh. Lots of positives and negatives. But it’s all about getting players to senior level now

Congratulations to Tipp. A timely boost for them after last Sunday. Cork fought manfully but really shooting 16 wides in a 60 mins game…well, we can only blame ourselves. On the upside, there’s plenty there with huge potential to go on to senior level. That’s the main output you look for in underage setups.

I only saw the second half, thought ref done well. Left it go and blew very little
The cork goal he couldn’t do anything about but the umpire should be very embarrassed at that

Very tough one tonight. Lots of positives . I can see a lot of these guys playing senior. Most of this team has an U20 all Ireland . This will motivate the lads underage for the next two years. Serious player development. Senior management are going to have an abundance of talent over next 5 years . We will get there soon I think .

Refs always flah Cork. It's a legacy of being from Cork but christ the umpire looking at the ball hit the net from a yard away! Two or three wides looked close too. Ref didn't give Cork a thing, few balls breaking around the square were definite fouls.
Ah stop. Look, he made a bad mistake. No one goes out to deliberately screw any team. Hell no doubt look at it and feel he fucked up. We had loads of chances to make it irrelevant.
