Cork Hurlers - Part 2

I wouldn't go along with a lot of the written and radio media commentary re clare v cork. You would think corkbonly have to turn up to win on their March to the all ireland the whole country wants em to win .
I reckon Sundays game will tell a lot and think there won't be much in it ,a draw might be a good shout
Spot on

I think most on here would agree with you.

The shit in media is sickening, they are more than happy to talk Cork up as if they go on to win something they will be proved right and if they don’t they will be lined up with the knives out.

It’s win/win for them and complete bollax.

The good news is PR and his team will be under no elusions what is coming for them down the track and ultimately that’s all the matters

Going away to play the reigning All Ireland and League champions is going to be very difficult.
Fair enough it was a total differing league for both teams but this is absolutely not going to be any way like the league game down there.
We won’t get the amount of space like we did between the half forward line and full line.
We certainly have improved and no doubt about that.
I think it’s down to little things and we have definitely improved in all aspects including tactically.
I am enjoying this team and I love the attitude and work rate alongside just good players and hurling.
It’s great to watch them become just an exciting team to watch and develop.
This would be a huge huge win if we can and I think it’s entirely possible that we can get it.

Will he be very hostile I imagine

Hogan on Connolly will be a great battle. Hogan may clear 7 out of 10 but Connolly will do serious damage with the other 3

I have no idea what relevance Davy Mcs teen years has to Sundays game

Christ you are obsessed with Fitz’s pace

Conceding goals is yer Achilles heel, has cost ye time and time again against Limerick. And if Cork are good at anything it’s scoring goals

The last 3 years will have no part to play in Sundays game, this Corl team is a completely different animal to the last few years. Playing the top teams has improved us but the real key to our improvement will be standing on the sideline on Sunday. We are blessed to have Pat Ryan involved pushing our players to new heights with every game. We will need it all on Sunday
Very true

Near impossible to pick the best Cork team from 9 to 15. We finally have options and different forward strategies.

I really rate the manic workrate, turnover ability and running of B Roche at corner forward, I'd play him on Hogan. Hayes FF and Hoggie CF. Wing forward line of Barrett, Fitz and Harnedy/Dalton.

If and when required, this leaves Connolly, Harnedy/Dalton, Healy to come on in the forwards, TOC to come on Midfield and GM, DC, MC in the backs.

Its harsh on Connolly but I feel its a slightly better balanced team and my logic is Connolly coming on would have a better impact than BR.

Brehany has a real dislike of Cork, in 1982 he tipped Waterford to beat Cork in the Munster final, Cork won by 31 points.

I once checked all of Breheny’s predictions. He achieved 50%.
I told him his knowledge was equal to tossing a coin.
