Cork Hurlers - Part 2

Average game in fairness. Looked like a first outing for each. Barrs were very slow and lethargic in the first half and this resulted in them going 7/8 points down. Upped it a bit in the second half but never looked like winners. McAllister reffed it very well - left a lot go, not that it was overly physical. Hennessy and Cahalane huge losses for Barrs

Ethan T. was okay. Both teams will be better as they progress. It lacked a bit of intensity alright. I think Ben C. is an excellent hurler. I hope he will be a very important player for the Cork senior team in the year's ahead. Hopefully get good time in the League for Cork with some of the other outstanding 'youngsters' around the county. Lots of excellent talent around to integrate with the very good Cork panel already.
Thanks for the updates

If you were listening on radio you'd think twas a classic. Tame affair.

Question, was any player issued a card. I know water carrier got a yellow.
Now that you think of it I don’t remember any cards. The second half was better but the standard was very poor. I saw one poster above say Ben Cunningham had a good game, I must have been watching a different one. All his scores were from placed balls. Big improvement needed from both as the championship progresses. Neither of those teams are beating the Clare champions based on last night.

You were watching the same game that I was at so cranky. Calling a spade a spade Ben was quiet enough in play. He was involved in setting up a couple of key scores alright. Was Good on frees.
While totally unproven at senior county if he keeps the shoulder to the wheel he will be on next year or the year after in my opinion.
Ethan was off his game last night, a couple of poor touches.
Plenty room for massive improvement in the Barrs.

Cards??? It was mostly non contact last night. Picnic stuff.. Cahalane grounded a Rockie who tried to hit him with a fair shoulder.
