Cork Hurlers - Part 2

But sure no they aren’t.. in most clubs anyway.
There are already various categories of members who get their tickets in every club I know before the remainder end up in a raffle..
That varies from club to club.
To try to answer your unusual question on who decides are officers and volunteers etc , the coaching groups and the members of each committee of the club are elected at the AGM or at a club meeting. This AI final belongs to them according to the president anyway!!
Actually he said it belongs to everyone who is involved in the GAA but that’s besides the point

Ok so you are saying members of each committee should get a ticket, that I agree with, but as you well know that is almost impossible to achieve in a big club. My point is what about the ordinary member who might do the lotto or wash the gear or help out on an ad hoc basis,

I’m just wondering which members you are ok with excluding from being able to get a ticket?

Erra I dont know anyone who was looking for a ticket who didn't get one.

I have to laugh at the 'Im the bestest supporter' crew. No one is forcing anyone to go to games lads.

If by some miracle the Footballers reached a final ud have the exact same scramble for tickets. That's sport.

I know a number of people who were looking for tickets, regularly go to club games and league matches, and didn't get one. A buddy of mine went up with his young teenage son, with one ticket between them, and he watched it in the pub while his son went into the Hill on his own to see his first Cork final. There were plenty didn't travel because they'd no ticket, not because they didn't want a ticket. Then there were others who were there who'd not been to a GAA match, or certainly less than a handful, before.

Whats extraordinary is you missing or choosing to miss the point.

Cork has advantages in terms of playing numbers yes no one is debating this. We in Cork come from a county where the fan has a signicantly less chance of obtaining a Al final ticket than the vast majority of other counties. Any rational person can acknowledge this. Its not the end of the world, its just the way it is.
the entire point of the conversation is cork posters claiming that this isnt just the way it is. In fact that cork should get more tickets than their opponents because the cork people were so docile that the brits didnt have to divide the county up smaller to rule it

We have 3 of the fastest forwards in Robbie O Flynn, Jack O Connor and Shane Kingston.

Shane seems destined to be a sub but will obviously push to start.

I hope Robbie and Jack will have good club championships because injuries have really plagued both of them in recent seasons.

Cunningham and maybe Healy might push on also.

Both Cunningham and Mullins were impacted by a series of injuries.

If we can get these quality players fully fit and at their best form, then it'll make a huge difference
pace is important over 7 seconds in a big moment but it isnt that important over 70 minutes,

Revamp needed alright. You had the likes of Cill Na Martra and Beal Átha getting the same allocation of tickets as Sarsfields. Totally ridiculous. If you had a hurley back there the locals would look at you strange. No regard for hurling in lots of areas but they all get hurling final tickets. At least the likes of Russell Rovers Dungourney etc field football teams.

Sars are a Senior club and neither Cill na Martra nor Beal Atha are so I very much doubt that. And given Sars had players in the panel, not to mention PR, they'd have gotten more tickets as well.

Certainly think the CCB should discriminate between Senior Football and Senior Hurling clubs in the distribution of tickets for Hurling or Football competitions. The likes of Castlehaven and Clonakilty getting as many Hurling tickets as a Senior Hurling club with nobody on the panel is silly imho.

Technically Castlehaven have 2 of their players on the panel. But I agree.

If you check they actually are senior clubs. Had Sars no one on the panel they would have got the same allocation
