Yes Robbie
Agreed, but on Lehane today, he gave a great ball to Hayes in the first few minutes but was very quiet after that. He played much better in the second half but was still blocked down three times. He certainly wasn’t our worst forward.Id say you never played a game in your life. The same kinda people who wondered why Timmy Mc started every game but never lit up the score sheet.
That's a mind boggling decision and I'm not trying to take shots at Lehane either.Agreed, but on Lehane today, he gave a great ball to Hayes in the first few minutes but was very quiet after that. Edit
Connors gave him Motm
Perhaps but Offalys point a few mins ago was their first score in 18 minutes. You won’t win games playing like that. We haven’t played great but we still won well. Can only beat what’s out in front of you. Lacked the intensity and backs to the wall stuff of the last few games. Maybe it’ll pickup in next round.4-25 to 1-19 Robbie goal.
Problem here is scoreline will make it look better than was
I think I'd agree if all things were equal and Lehane was given the role of scoring points. He was clearly given a role of linking play and getting other fellas into, which is what he did.Ah lads stop. He's kept it simple at best. His impact has been minimal.
You can say he linked up play but he didn't really in any meaningfully way. He looks completely short of all confidence.
Whatever his role is, a forward scoring 1 point vs Offaly isn't good enough. I've never met a forward happy after scoring 1 point in a game of hurling at any level.
If Power, Kingston etc put in a performance like that nobody would be praising them tbf.
