Cork have to try some young possibilites full-back like Robert Downey, Daire O'Leary and Ryan Walsh over playing Damien Cahalane there throughout the league. Conor Cahalane is a carrier & runner and the Cork attack under Kieran Kingston had too many of that type player, if Pat Ryan is serious about direct play then he will have to cherry pick from Conor, Darragh Fitz, Robbie O'Flynn, Luke Meade, Shane Kingston etc. and I believe Darragh and Robbie are ahead of the rest but we will have to see how they adapt to Pat Ryan's expected direct style. There are too many forwards ahead of Jack Cahalane for him to make the 26 not to mind the team. IMO Ben Cunningham needs to establish himself on the U-20 team next year before he makes it as a starter at senior inter-county but if his improvement shown in the county championship continues then he may prove me wrong. Ben O'Connor, Ethan Twomey and Brian Hayes are very likely starters if all are available and Cian Walsh could also be looked at for corner-back.Red there good enough to make thee team IMO.
I think Twomey will do well with Cork this yearNot on his form for the Barrs this year. IF Ben o Connor is free to play barrs should have 5 on theCork team ,2 Cahalanes,Twomey,O Connor and Cunningham.
Yes they are but so are 2 or 3 dozen others around the county. But they will get a chance to show their worth and Pat knows alot of them inside youRed there good enough to make thee team IMO.
Was very impressed with him in the couple games I saw him play with CIT and again in the intermediate finals. If we have 6 back men better than
Liam Ryan,Inniscarra, we will go a long way
