Cork Footballers

I was behind the goal, there was definitely contact and it looked almost like a leg block to me in real time.

Morgan made a complete meal of it, the panic on his face and Tyrone backroom team when they realised he had to leave the pitch until the next ball dead summed it up how they were being cute.
Re the Paul Walsh goal chance..was there saw it..was both a push and a leg block from behind but no so obvious…having said that he took one solo too many and needed to shoot or offload to Sherlock 1 second before that..too bad water under the bridge now. We will need to take goal chances against Louth

With the possible exception of cramp (which can't be blamed on a foul) or loss of assistance devices such as contact lenses, there should be a rule in GAA that if a player cannot return to his feet and satisfy match officials that he's fit to play on within 10 seconds, then that player can take no more part in the match. For his own safety, same as boxing.

What’s the rule for the quarterfinals? Is it an open draw or no repeat fixtures? if that’s the case it’s Dublin or Armagh of Cork can beat Louth.

Best possible draw
Louth have improved the last few years but we should still be well able to beat them and go on and have a crack off whoever it is in qf hopefully Armagh

We are haunted with the draws the last few years .. got Limerick & Louth two years ago, Roscommon last year, & now Louth. Having said that as someone said earlier Louth wont mind having us visit

Louth are on an upward curve last 3 years. Have been in last 2 Leinster finals. Lived with Dublin for about 50 mins this year. Positive for us is that they are coming off a hammering yesterday and we have an extra day recovery. Hope we can get over the line. Lose this game and season will feel a failure, win it and it will be seen as a success getting to last 8 again. Louth dont score heavily, 3 group games were 3-10, 2-10 and 1-10.

Massive game for Louth, beat cork and they automatically avoid Dublin and Kerry, while underdogs would absolutely fancy themselves vs Armagh it Donegal
Huge incentive for them alright but this is still the best possible draw for us.

That said, they will not be lured into our counter attack. They will give up all of Cork’s kickouts and not be countered. We will need to beat them with points which isn’t something we do too well. The good news is Kerry really slaughtered them so they will be shaken after such a defeat.
