Or reporting on fellas who come from a good GAA background
Character bias is unfortunately all too prevalent. How many times have we seen lads from a ‘good family’ having character witnesses when accused of rape.Or reporting on fellas who come from a good GAA background

Can't remember the case now but I recall a young lad from a good family who kept getting caught with drugs but also keeps getting released from jail
Oh yes I know the one. Very well known and well to do family. Not the worst member of the family mind you. Can't remember the case now but I recall a young lad from a good family who kept getting caught with drugs but also keeps getting released from jail
Any study needs to show the breakdown on types of crimes committed. Normally prison is for repeat offenders and serious crime, but for low level crimes who are going to prison for them and who aren't so for example if you are from Romania, Mayfield or Finglas are you more likely to go to prison for the same crime than if you are from the US, Montenotte or Howth.
TLDR: 22% of prison population are non nationals. Down from 25% pre-covid.
I see what you did there.Oh yes I know the one. Very well known and well to do family. Not the worst member of the family mind you.
How they are in any way supported by people is beyond me. Reprehensible family.I see what you did there.
Crime reporting should report relevant information. How is where a suspect is from relevant information?
