Cork Camogie 2022

Anybody who complains about Rebelog should try and deal with the Cork Camogie Board. They are nuts. They set up the U16 Premier Championship with 14 teams with only 4 to qualify. It's a shambles. Lots of teams are practically knocked out after 1 game with loads of dead rubbers and absolute beatings happening. I was at a match last weekend that finished 11-15 to 0-4. Was talking to the losing teams coach afterwards and he said they didn't want to play premier but were forced to.
I've said it before but the sooner the Camogie Board & LGFA are merged with the broader GAA the better.

This constantly occurs in G.A.A. also and often the opposite is the case e.g. Ballinora hammered every team they played to win the U-13 Premier 2 County Championship in 2022 and they requested to go Premier 1 to play U-14 in 2023 but were not allowed. I don't believe this issue is confined to Rebel Og as I've heard of the same problem in other counties so I believe it to be a G.A.A. issue. Ballinora went on to hammer every team at U-14 in the same grade the following year which is not good for the devevelopment of young players. The same group are still dominant as they are the Premier 2 U-15 AI Feile champions.

I believe the GAA have to get their own house in much better order before they should even consider inviting any of the ladies sports under their umbrella. If anyone is to go by Camogie President Brian Molloy's speech after this years AI final it doesn't appeal one bit to them and why should it when the G.A.A. leaders are more likely to govern over the other 2 in an amalgamation, the camogie games are better reffed than GAA matches with less agendas and the obvious fixing of draws occuring in G.A.A. matches.

Ladies Gaelic Sport is on the rise along with match attendances so I believe they will be focusing on their growth rather than joining forces with the G.A.A.

While you might get the odd anomaly in the GAA generally not that many hammerings occur. It's endemic in camogie & ladies football.
The players want to move. That dinosaur of a president is best ignored, it's all about power with the people at the top of the Camogie Association & the LGFA.

In case of reverse sexism, they generally get a free pass because they're not men. Whole thing is a shambles from top to bottom.
