This sports mad country very rarely produces a world champion. We have only produced four Olympic champions (five if you count Michelle) since the foundation of the state. Right now we have a four times world champion and our best prospect of a gold Olympic medal ever---yet like the Cork Footballers the sporting public appear to ignore her---Come on Katie!
 
If the Bible has taught us nothing else -- and it hasn't -- it's that girls should stick to girl's sports, such as hot oil wrestling and foxy boxing and such and such.

What an athlete!

I love the way she can up a gear when needed in any round, outclass anyone in the world, take a hard shot and reply to it with such speed and ferocity.

What I love most about her is the way she respects her opponent at the end, no big ego, nothing personal.

What an athlete.
