If you were to buy a car today what model would you go for?
Considering motor tax and insurance, it does'nt have to be a new car, maybe something practical that most average people have for the general driving we all do.

All depends on your budget. If you can get a new car (or only a couple years old), I would if I were you. The car tax and fuel economy on the newer cars today is very appealing.
As redards model, that's just personal preference. I go mostly what they look like from the outside, which instantly rules out Renault for me. I also go for a petrol engine with as much bhp as my money can get.
Stick japanese or German if its an older car, dont want loads of miles or anything bigger than a 1.4 if your on a provo licence or not many years no claims. VW Golf and Fiesta's are popular around these parts. Dont go for a BMW, trouble.
