Anthony Stokes will play a trial game for Shamrock Rovers tonight as he looks to get fit with Stephen Bradley open to giving the former Celtic man a contract if he can prove his fitness.

Stokes hasn't played competitively in 16 months, but is looking for an avenue back into football and has other clubs linked with him in Turkey & Scotland.

The striker was due to face sentencing after pleading guilty to breaching a non-harassment order after he sent a barrage of offensive text messages to his ex-girlfriend Eilidh Scott’s father.”

Both are from a few weeks ago, dunno what he is doing since ?

Was he ever any good , never saw too much of him on the pitch and know him for his off the field antics primarily.

Best game i saw him play was the 2016 Scottish Cup final, he scored 2, could have got 5!
