parrotbait said:I agree think its was a great move, he's now got several clubs after him and has options. Might actually force Arsenal's hand and play him in matches besides the Carling Cup. He does have Bendtner up against him and he's also doing well for Birmingham and Wenger apparently favours him. Lupoli also is doing well at Derby(I think) so there is loads of competition ahead of him before you even get to Adebeyor(sp!) and Henry in the first team.
At least he's getting real experience instead of playing some shitty reserve teams every week. Think ultimately his future lies away from Arsenal for the moment, he could do something like Pennant, start small and gradually make a name for himself and score a big transfer back one day but striker is the hardest position in the pitch for a youngster to come through in a big club, they want results immediately and this just isn't possible with young players who need time to adjust physically and mentally to different standards. Hoepfully Stokes' loan will have helped him somewhat in that sense but ready for Arsenal's strikeforce?Don't think Wenger would go for it and he should perhaps go for a smaller team where he'll get regular football imo
