I visited the Mutton for the first time in around two years last month, and Maurice was still there in his usual spot by the window. He'd always stand up in the long leather coat, flick through the Echo, and enjoy his Beamish.

I think he was originally from Dundalk?

RIP Maurice.

RIP. Knew him to see but not to speak to. Saw him in town only about two or three weeks ago and thought he didn't look well.

Told me he bought it in london for £200 in the early 80s.
