2024 Premier Senior Hurling Championship

I was there that day, expected nothing less 2 weeks after winning the county and celebrating for a week at least.

I'd say element of same for Sars last year. Probably best chance is club winning 2 county titles in a row or within couple of years - may be more focus on Munster and less on the gatt!
Barrs were probably on a never ending bender after first title since 1985. They did much better three years later!

To be fair to them, the trauma of the flooding in Glanmire, no pitch etc can’t have helped.
Barrs were very unlucky a couple of years ago away in Ennis.
Midleton were blown away by Kilmallock in Limerick.
Blackrock didn’t get an opportunity with COVID.

I believe the Cork winner is away again to Clare Champions this year?

Ballygunner have won the Waterford a number of weeks ago & have a clear month/6 weeks to get prepared for the Munster Championship.

4 dark horses left in Clare after the weekend.

Tipp, just an unknown quantum.

Limerick/Tipperary/Waterford on one side.

A good chance for a well prepared & focused Cork club team to have a decent cut off Munster. Of all clubs remaining, I think Sarsfields would be that. Midleton I don’t think are good enough (certainly not as good as they were when they won the county in 2021) & if Blackrock win, they’ll just go on the beer.

Nope.
It's funny actually, Blue_Y having a go off Sars considering his own club probably achieved one of the most embarrassing results for Cork club and county in the Munster championship.

What’s even more funny, considering your own clubs football fortunes,is you having a go off Bluey and his club for an embarrassing result ???

Stall the ball, you never seen me here blowing my hole about about my club being a dual club, we have accepted where we are and don't persist with this dual club nonsense. One hurling county in 30 years makes ye the Lolpool of the Cork hurling scene, time to accept ye are a football club.
Another thing, least Nicks never went to Kerry and embarrassed themselves, the club and the county in front of the animals.

Mellerick is a v good hurler and deserves to be on the Cork panel but is not the answer to our defensive problems. I think O Leary needs to get a prolonged period now on the Cork team during the league because we need a replacement for Coleman in the half back line.
No one player is the answer but Ger Millerick can make a difference because he can defend, Coleman and O'Donoghue cannot. Two successive Cork managements have played Millerick wing-back, mid-field and corner-back in only a few matches over a few years whereas the likes of Coleman and O'Donoghue have been played in the same positions for years with poor results. Give Millerick a campaign of games at 7 or 4 and then we're likely to see a difference.
