Being successful in both codes can work if you have a few things go right. You need either a big pool of players like the Barrs who are obviously very good. You need a talented bunch and avoid injuries for the best part to your core players like Kanturk have done over the years.

It's not easy to compete at both

They all played Hurling and Football county finals at various levels so it can be done if the circumstances are right

Kanturk overturn Douglas , O'Neills thump Erins Own and Carrigtohill hold Charleville . I'm keeping Barrs as #1 rank , as County Champions but only just over Sars . League Division 1 Final could see a change in the top 3 . The Glen would need to be wining Division 2 to hold #5 seed ! Positions 9 - 11 could easily be other way round !
