2023 Premier Intermediate hurling

Ballymartle vs Castlelyons - Castlelyons - might have a little too much for Ballymartle.
Valleys vs Kilworth - Kilworth - Hasn't been much between these two in the last few meetings. Kilworth to shade it.
Bandon vs Carrigaline - Carrigaline - Hard to see Bandon stop the poor run of results. Morale must be low.
Overall a lottery, any side could come away with the win. Its the beauty of this grade, there's no clear runaway favourite.

Castlelyons should have enough to beat Ballymartle but Bally are traditionally a tough team to play against and known for taking a big scalp now and again. Anthony Spillane is rumoured to be gone back to the UAE for this game. He will be a huge loss.

I'm gonna go with Valleys here. A big physical side with the huge addition of Charlie Lyons who is scoring well at the moment. Kilworth are another dangerous side who like to take a big scalp or two, evidently, after knocking out "favourites" Ballinhassig. Eoin Carey was in great form for Avondhu so he is their main man.

I don't know an awful lot about Bandon and Carrigaline in recent years but on paper Carrigaline should be strong enough to get over the line here.

Can anyone confirm what North Cork said on Anthony Spillane? He would be a massive loss.
