2023 Intermediate A football

Although I haven’t seen them personally, Glanmire could certainly be dark horses from what I’ve heard. They’ve got a new signing this year who played in the 2014 senior county final for Carbery.
I know nothing about him, not even his name, but I’m not living too far from there the last few years and a relative of his delivered to me from a co-op near there recently.
He said to watch out for Glanmire as he’s everything Carbery are missing at the moment.. a lethal accurate shoot on sight forward.
All that detail you have and you don’t know his name? 😂😂😂

I’ve been to a lot of lower league games this year.

Vincent’s are playing a higher division but they look very ordinary outside of Blake Murphy.

Glanworth / Mitchelstown are plagued with injuries and not going well in the league. Obviously will be better come Championship but I’d question if teams can just turn it on to the level required to win championship?

Glanmire and Boherbue seem to have taken the league campaign more seriously than other teams - should carry the form into championship but they have low ceilings. That C Rangers lad for Glanmire is only a panel player I’ve heard.

For me it’s Aghabullogue or Boherbue. Boherbue are a very smart team but I think Coachford after losing last years final, and a strongish league campaign in 2023 should do it. I’m discounting Glanworth and Mitchelstown yes and it’s a fair point that league does not matter.

Im looking forward to the first round for sure!

It was only said in a passing conversation but by his account, this guy is the man and was hard done by by the last few Ross managers..

I could see Glanmire going far in this grade. Maybe just fall short but a lot of talent in that group. Wouldn’t have huge hopes for Boherbue given the players they have lost.

Boherbue have a low ceiling yes with an ageing panel and seemingly a lack of quality to replace JOC but in a rather suspect grade their organisation and commitment to the cause could be enough to get them over the line.

When I stated Boherbue would win it, I assumed Murphy and O Connor would give it one more year. If that’s not the case it seems crazy to me.

Vincent’s have a few too many plugs for me but would happily be proven wrong as it’s a club I have a few connections with.

Mitchelstown could do anything IMO.

Adrigole could definitely challenge. Ryan O Sullivan is home now I think and is an electric inside forward to go with Harrington and his brother Ben who is of age now. They will be hard stopped if the likes of Ryan’s other brother Seanie and Neil O Sullivan can get the ball in.

Hard not to see Adrigole coming good in this soon as all those lads are in their early 20s and it could well be this year when you add in the experience of some of the older players like Will O Sullivan.
Have heard Ryan O Sullivan has not committed to play with Adrigole. That is a real pity. Although I have still heard that there is serious belief within the camp that they are going to go all the way this year. He said the other O Sullivan brothers are flying. As are the Harrington’s and Neil O Sullivan.
Will O Sullivan and Mikey O Sullivan are supposedly driving the standards like crazy this year. They are sick of watching the success of neighbouring teams, Castletownbere and Urhan, and are trying to lead Adrigole like Gary Murphy and Jamie O Neill do for their respective clubs.
I would not be surprised to see Adrigole go all the way here and begin to achieve some of the successes Castletownbere and Urhan have.

Every year Adrigole and Glanmire are tipped and we just never see them progress and I don’t see them going far this year either.

Watched their league game this year. Both solid teams, Glanmire seem a lot younger and Adrigole set up well but agreed, neither are favourites for me.
