To clear up some confusion on the train service to Youghal back in the day.

The line stayed in use for years after the normal passenger services were stopped, it was used for freight, mostly sugar beet which was transported to Mallow.
Towards the latter days of the service CIE used to lay on special services, like on weekends for people who wanted to go to Youghal.
