Arrived in Piazza Garabaldi. Usual harassment with baggage and nomads 'helping out'. The place.. Oh my God. Height of Summer. Sweating like a shit brickhouse. Beautiful yet ugly.

Hotel Cavour. Far from its name. Was run by the Mafia. A full limb could reach under the door. Blocked it with a suitcase. Got there aboot midday n had a nap. Wook up, need food.

Went down and was greeted by a pocked faced heavy. 'Restaurant is closed'. Oul fella in the corner signalled us in. Gratias.

As soon as the Sun rises it dawned on us. Young fellas in and out handing money over to yer man. Lavish food being delivered to THAT table.

Ate, big tip. Left... Although the exiting was awkward. Herself ran... I tugged a fourlough and slipped on the way out.
