Italy’s the same:

Italy in particular has a love of swimming caps. The laws require that everybody, regardless of how much (or how little) hair they have, must wear a swimming cap when in a public pool. Don’t worry about looking silly, just take a glance around!

By the way, in France the rule is you must wear speedo type swimming togs. The logic being that if you wear shorts or bermudas you could have been wearing them all day lounging around, therefore it is more hygienic to change into proper speedo type togs before going into the pool

In Iceland they have spotters making sure you had a proper shower before getting in the pool, I.e. with some sort of soap and no wearing your keks while showering

The French take the real togs only thing very seriously. Its become a tent pole in the argument to ban burkinis from far right populist types over there

Just listening to the radio now about the extra road deaths so far this year and the huge jump in people driving under the influence of drink and drugs.

They compared it with last years numbers.

A massive bloody rise, any guesses out there as to why that is.
