Jesus lads, 'tis looking like BREXIT!

Technically the Taoiseach could do the same - up to 2 senators can be Cabinet ministers so the Taoiseach could just appoint anyone a senator and then make them a minister, but it is rarely done.

I just looked it up, Garrett Fitzgerald appointed Dooge as Foreign Minister in 1981, and it was done another time before that.

And Dooge was one of those experts you read about.

Like lord Frost, except the exact opposite.

Had a quick sconce at Jim Dooge on wiki there.
I'd forgotten his palmares, to borrow a term from pro cycling, but it just shows the downward trajectory of parliamentary competence, if we were to draw a curve from Dooge to poor aul Frosty.
We're fucked, well the Brits are anyway.

With BoJo it’s a sit com experience.
Everyone has a role, and a catchphrase, we all now where the story’s going and the only tension is how it’s going to end up there.

Picture a GovY led operation.
It’s be more cringe comedy - think curb without the sympathy for the main character.
