As for the people slating him tbf he has achieved more than probably most of those folk.

Good for him, and, to be fair, most people wouldn't begrudge the fella any of that.

But............

This is a bloke who has made a career out of talking to the public. He chose to work in a field where he'd be subjected to public scrutiny. He's fair game.

The only difference between him and any other employee feeling hard done by is that he has an audience.

That shit was cringe inducing.

I hope he does okay and all that, but what a fucking langer.
 
Feel sorry for him. Maybe he was being a bit over dramatic at times when saying his farewells but you could tell it was getting to him. I don't think he would have been on mega wages either there. 50 grand a year maybe? Ok, a lot more than a guy who works in a factory but he's still out of a job at the end of the day with another kid on the way. Could be a struggle for him to find something similar. May even end up working in a factory!
