The US Senate has released its report on US torture of (guess what) Muslims. They have discovered that the CIA has been lying to everyone and that torture, aside from being a disgrace to any modern society, is ineffective.

What does this have to do with you? First of all, Britain has been a big help in the American torture game and it is likely that some of the planes flying over you had people shaking on the bars on their windows hoping you'd stop them from going to the "rendition sites" where people really know how to rip out a fingernail. Second, since your country probably doesn't torture people (I'm not going to speculate about "Norn") I'd like to know what a neutral, well educated group of people think.

Here's a link to the New York Times story.

For those of you who like your news from the Brits, here's the Guardian.

(I would have put this up on the Donald (The Duck) Trump thread, since he's not only for torture, but he thinks the US should nuke prisoners, but I didn't want the discussion distracted by the rah rah chorus.)

So what do you think? Should we torture people? And by people, I mean, of course, Muslims?

Ah the rendition flights, you probably don't know this but quite a few of those planes stopped off at Shannon airport to refuel on their back to US.

That doesn't really make any sense...

Does this look neutral to you?
