club spunks €100m and the usual talk is they’ll recoup it in jersey sales. doesn’t the bulk of jersey sales go back to the shirt maker?

Yes, they usually get a small percentage of the sale, the rest goes to the manufacturer. Afaik I know Lolpool has one of the higher percentages.
