Soap operas by country of origin

While we have Fair City and the UK's Coronation Street, Eastenders, & Emmerdale, does anyone know of other popular TV soap shows from around the world that they have seen or know of.

The Aussies have Home & Away.................:roll:

What about Europe, say France or Germany, while the USA must have one or there is probably some Spanish show that is popular amongst the Spanish speaking population.

Anyone aware of what is popular in Brazil or Argentina and then there is Asia where the TV audiences are much bigger!

That was pretty soapy.

Korea is full of soaps. Endless shit where ordinary people live in apartments that, irl, are utterly unavailable for the characters who live in them.

channel 18, well it may not have been a soap but many a saturday night i was in a lather,
