when you listen to music in winamp or whatever the track title and artist gets sent to the website, some magic happens, and then the website shows you other similar artists and stuff. So it's pretty cool for finding out new groups and shite like that.

Also they have their own radio station which will only play back tunes that you are into. Pretty cool stuff. Easily one of the best music websites out there

Good site. It will track everything. I did a google for my band name (La Belle Alliance) recently and Last FM showed up due to some total stranger listening to my stuff.
