Ireland has one of the highest number of Ukrainian refugees per head of population, more than the UK, Germany or France but less than Poland and other eastern European countries.
OECD figures reveal Ireland is seventh on the table of 34 countries across the developed world, with 17 refugees per 1,000 inhabitants.
It's like you enjoy being wrong.

"The rate of increase of Ukrainians arriving in Ireland over the past 12 months was 10 times higher than the average increase in numbers fleeing to the EU from Ukraine over the same period.

Official statistics published by the European Commission show that there has been a 72.1 per cent increase in the number of Ukrainians seeking international protection in the Republic in the 12 months to the end of September 2023 as a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine

Over the same time, the number of Ukrainian citizens seeking refuge across the EU rose by just 7.2 per cent.

The figures were published shortly after Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar, said the Government had to take action to “slow down” the number of Ukrainians coming to Ireland."

Neither of these things are what you said in your earlier post.

You never mentioned per capita.
And we aren't seventh per capita.

You should start knocking on doors. Headbanger candidates need people like you.
With all countries having different populations how else do you compare how countries take people in then using per 1000 of population you dopey fuck wit
We are 7th out of the top 34 countries.
7th is well above the average you idiot.

It is the second-highest rate of increase among the 27 EU member states over the past year after Romania, where the number of refugees from Ukraine have effectively doubled to around 140,000.

From this morning.
What a disgusting way to treat people.
These are fellow human beings.
35 years ago it was the S**m newspaper paper insulting homeless Irish on the streets of London.
The government really are making it up as they go along.
I can guarantee you another tented village will spring up elsewhere:

A joint operation is under way in Dublin to remove 108 tents pitched along the Grand Canal and to relocate asylum seekers to alternative accommodation.

Barriers have been erected around the encampment along the canal and several coaches were lined up along Mount Street this morning, close to the nearby International Protection Office
