Some very interesting motions in there, particularly regarding restructuring age bands for underage players.

The Davy Rule....

That Rule 7.2(b) Category III – Infractions – Official Guide Part 1 – Pages 131/132
be amended by the addition of the following sub-paragraph:
“(viii) Minor physical interference (e.g. laying a hand on, pushing, pulling or jostling) with
an Opposing Team Official either on or off the field of play”

Why are the GPA proposing this?

That Rule 6.28 (C) Inter-County Championships – All Ireland Senior Hurling Championship
(as passed at Special Congress) – Official Guide Part 1 (page 109) – be amended to read as
follows:
“Venues for Tiers 2, 3, 4 and 5" by deleting the line: "Group Winners shall have Home
Advantage for Semi-Finals" and amending the final sentence to read: "Venues for all Finals,
Semi-Finals and Relegation Play-Offs shall be determined by the Central Competitions
Control Committee.”

(as passed at Special Congress) – Official Guide Part 1 (page 109) – be amended to read as
follows:
“Venues for Tiers 2, 3, 4 and 5" by deleting the line: "Group Winners shall have Home
Advantage for Semi-Finals" and amending the final sentence to read: "Venues for all Finals,
Semi-Finals and Relegation Play-Offs shall be determined by the Central Competitions
Control Committee.”

Must've been on some player ballot paper or another - they're good at that

Because they were bought off by the hierarchy and are being used as a stalking horse to get this through and therefore enable croke park centralise more fixtures and gain more money for central coffers. The GPA are a disease in the association.

My own favourite is the melee motion:

"A melee shall be defined as a minimum of five persons"

Because they were bought off by the hierarchy and are being used as a stalking horse to get this through and therefore enable croke park centralise more fixtures and gain more money for central coffers. The GPA are a disease in the association.

The elite of the elite being concerned with elite issues. Meanwhile competitions clashing seem to have passed them by.

They're trying to get the Ring/Rackard/Meagher semi finals and finals played as curtain raisers to Leinster/Munster championship games, rather than having them as standalone fixtures in Croker all on the one day.
