David Silva. Best player the EPL has ever seen?

Chelsea won it 3 years ago. Hardly a generation ago, to be fair.

True, but long enough to question the validity of the statement.
Two seasons ago only City and Liverpool in the mix for the title. Last season only Chelsea and City. Like Spain in a way but La Liga provided the winners of both European competitions last season didnt they?

All of the top leagues have pretty much a monopoly / duopoly on titles. At last in England there are in a good season 3 / 4 teams in with a shout.

Juve, Bayern, PSG, Barca / Real utterly dominate their leagues year on year, and look set to do so for a while yet. Makes for some boring seasons unless you happen to ve a fan of one of the afore mentioned.

"The best league in the world" is on the brink of losing a CL spot. Something doesn't quite add up.

Since Chelsea won it a few years ago, the P.L. contribution to the C.L. has been shite in fairness Clou.
If the P.L. loses a spot it could make it far more competitive. Of late it always seems to be City, Chelsea, United and Arsenal who make the cut.

1.7B a year PL deal starting soon. What's that, just under £100M each?

CL can't touch that let alone any other wank league like Spain.

Imagine if you could cherry pick the best players in the league for Utd and Arsenal? Imagine if Utd and Arsenal got most of that £1.7B between them to go cherrypick the best players in other leagues?

You'd be left with two dream teams taking turns to gut weak opposition and their marquee forwards doing the sort of goalscoring that seemed impossible when they were in the PL.

It's boring, people worldwide know it's boring and watch the PL instead. That's why the most lucrative leagues across sports ensure most of the teams are good so every game is competitive. NFL gets this. PL gets this.

The Spanish don't but then the Spanish have a weirdly elitist view on things. Happy to be big fish in small, dried up ponds. Their football teams are there to distract them from their penniless, hopeless lives.

What a load of shite Kola.
Real Madrid are the only club against the new t.v. deal. Perez trying to negotiate his own for R.M.
